I am trying to remove engine from 1949 Pony that has been sitting 25+ years. I have remove all lines & wires, bolts from fly wheel housing, and front engine mounts. engine will oly move about 1/4 inch. The fly wheel is trying to come with the engine. Am I just dealing with a rusty shaft or is there else I need to do? Any help reatly appreciated.

It may be that the transmission input shaft splines are stuck in the clutch disc! I had such the same problem when I pulled the motor out of my 49 pony also. I had to remove the starter and go in and remove the pressure plate bolts allowing the clutch to stay with the shaft!
