Could anyone tell me what the overall dimension, for a 1085,measuring from outside to outside of the rear wheels, would be? The tractor in question has 16.9's on it A friend wants me to haul it for him. I have a 20 foot goose neck that measures 82" between the fenders. He saw the tractor but didn't think to measure it's overall width. Thanyou Any response will be greatly appreciated John from Mid Mich.

I'm looking at the 1977 buyers guide for the overall width. Manual adjust wheels 16.9 tires shows 94 inches. Power adjust wheels 18.4 tires show 114 inches. That is assuming the adjusted wheels are at the furthest "in" position.

I believe that's WIDEST positions for each.

What you're wanting is wheel TRACK. (AKA tread width) Wheel base is center of front axle to center of rear axle.

Wheel track is ACTUALLY measured center of tire to center of tire in MF literature. Over-all width will depend on where the adjustable track is set, but in NORMAL circumstances, it will be much wider than 83". They can be narrowed. It will range between 76" at the absolute narrowest, to 108" at the widest setting.
