Can someone tell me if the fuel tank on a 44-6 is the same size as the one for a 44 Special? I think the one for a 44-4 is smaller. The one on my older 44-6 now acts like a sprinklin can! Thanks for your help.

44/ 44 specail used same fuel tanks, don't know for sure if 44-6 and 44 are the same, wil try to find out this weeekend... away from the collection now, will be back home sunday for a day. The 33's (and not all 33's but some) had a smaller tank, like the 30's (I have a large tank 33, same as a 44... had a 44 sp that I put a 44 tank on, but the "fill location" was in a different spot, but mounted fine)

Thanks - any info would be helpful. Somewhere in the cobwebs in the back of my mind, I think I remember someone told me the 44 Special and the 44-6 tanks are the same, but not sure. This time I"ll note it in my tractor log on the PC. Thanks again Brad.
