A friend of mine has a mf 204 forklift, that he uses to load junk a few times a week. It doesn"t want to back up now, and when it gets hot, it won"t, and had to push it back in the barn, but it works perfect going forward. We checked the fluid level for the reverse-a-matic and it was full. We checked to make sure the lever in the bell housing, that controls the direction was opening up all the way in reverse, and it was. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on with this forklift. Thanks for help,Kenny

I don't know but if you find out let me know. I have a 204 Tractor with the exact same problem. I suspect it is in the clutch pack for reverse gear. I don't know if the parts are even available for these. Try this man. He has helped me out many times. Link
