i juat got an mf50 (1960) and the steering wheel actually raises and lowers as you turn either left or right. i have it all apart and have an IT mf14 manual, but, i am confused about the snap rings just above and below the ball bearing cups. are they supposed to actually hold the bearing cups against the ball bearings? if so i'm in trouble as the bearings left my steering housing long long ago and have allowed the steering shaft to wear the opening in the bearing cups. my dealer says he cant get the bearing cups. so, does any one know of a supplier of obsolete steering parts for an mf50?????
any helpp would be sooooo oooo appreciated
thanks eddie

Try Dogwood Tractor Sales in Palestine, Tx. Phone 903-723-2165. They were available 2-3 years ago when I rebuilt mine. (You can buy the balls, chrome-plated 3/8", I think, at a bearing supply house). I'll look in the factory manual for snap ring location.
