Yes, I need to get a manual for this but haying season is here and the manaul is not.

I drained the rear end oil out of my Massey Harris 30 - very white with water. Now I need to refill. Does anyone know the recommended type and capacity. Plus, how do you check the level? I am used to Farmalls which have plugs in the side but I have not found a similar feature on the Massey.

Thanks in advance!

Jason, If it is a row crop, 13 gallons or 12 for
a standard. 90 gear lube is recommended. If it were me I would run with slightly less gear oil,
about an inch below the check plug-less chance of
leakage. The check plug is on the right side,
behind and below the belt pulley or belt pulley
opening. The manual strongly advises putting
kerosene in the case and driving briefly to clean
out all the crud. Chuck
