I know it's not an antique but does anyone have experience with the MF 1105?

I am looking at one with 4800 hours on it.

Perkins 110 HP.

Is this a reliable machine?

Any details appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I had an 1105 that I sold with 3650 hours on it and only got $3500 at auction. I had spent over $7000 in repairing the hydraulics (2 radial pumps, rear end work from damage from the pump parts, steering hand pump, etc.). The Perkins motor ran great, did a good job with a plow, disc and 12' bush hog, but it was a money pit. The fellow that bought it immediately dumped another $7000 into it.

The only person who made out was the dealer who did the repairs. If you need a factory service manual, let me know.

I have had a 1105, which was a very poor tractor. BUT, I now own a 2705, 1100, and a 180 and am very happy with them all. There are lemons in all makes and I think my 1105 was one of them. I would recomend MF tractors any time. Thanks, Dave, Alberta, Can.

Ive have a 1135 & 1105 they are the same except for 1135 has 10-15 more HP.1105 & 1135 came out
the same year 1973. The only thing I would check for would be the
multi power under a load.A good idea of overall
condition is how quick the tractors power steering
and lift work after cranking it up cold, shouldnt
take over 30 -40 seconds.

I have an 1100 with 4075 hrs on it. It is a great machine and has been very reliable. It was replaced by the 1105, so I assume they are very simular. For that hp, the 1100-1105's are the best value in my opinion, David
