My 165 diesel is blowing raw fuel out the exhaust.
This just started this morning. Any ideas as to the cause and the cure? Is it harmful to operate it until it is fixed?

Hello,
Yes, there is a real danger in using the tractor, moreso starting it after a period of time. As long as you are sure it is fuel, remove the pipe going to the starting aid (thermostart) in the inlet manifold and plug it. Remove the thermostart and look for wetness around the coil. Look also for wetness in the inlet manifold. After a while the thermostarts do leak. The danger is of one of the bores having diesel ontop of the piston as it comes up to TDC. Fuel does not compress and a bent con-rod may result.
