MF 50 TLB backhoe questions

Need to buy a backhoe and recently looked at 2 different MF 50 TLB for sale by owner.
One is a late 70's 50a diesel on which the owner recently rebuilt the engine.
The other is a 1985 50c used by a property owner (light duty).
What potential problems should I look for? Is there any difference between model A and C.
How durable are the transmission and hydrolic system, are parts readily available and resonably priced?
I will be using the machine to install a septic system,drainage,water lines,driveway and other basics on some property.Spending more time working the machine than working on it is my goal.

Any experience/advice would be greatly appreciated!

The C is a newer model. The MF 50A would be early to mid 70's. Parts might be hard to get for other than engine related for either machine. If everything works they are good machines. Others will be able to tell you more. Dave
