Lift cyl. was leaking so just capped lines off since didn't need the hitch, now that were done I was going to pull the cyl off and fix it. the problem is I can't get either pin to move, been spraying with pen oil, with no luck so far. just wondered if anybody else has run into this or if anyone has a good mix of something they think may free them up. Thanks

That top pin came out for me, I had done like you were saying with the heat. the bottom is my problen, on the inside there is a collar with a pin with a cotter key. I made a puller out of a spacer, flat stock, and 5/8 bolt like the servicce mamual shows, been using heat and pen. oil so far no luck, can't get that botton pin to budge. I'm wondering now from what you said about thaking the cyl apart, could that be done on the tractor by having the top free and tipping the cyl down ?

It can be done with 1/2 on the tractor. Probably not the easiest to handle, but possible.

I did get the wiper seal and o-rings changed out on that 2745 last week. In case anyone else needs to do the same job, here"s the routine. The bolt on the top of the lift cylinder is designed in a cone shape. A little heat and it comes right out. The lower pin is assembled with a locking pin with an allen head. Remove the allen bolt and apply a little heat to the housing. The second pin comes out toward the rear wheel. Once you remove the hydraulic line, you will need to remove the fitting from the cylinder. Inside the hole is a pin that needs to be removed. From there, the assembly seperates and you can see your parts for replacement. Overall job time was 2 hours.

Heat. Those pins are a cone shape and will literally fall out when you heat them. See my post about a month ago on the 2745 3 point in this forum. The entire removal procedure is there. The 2705 and the 2745 are the same for removal.
