Greetings! Can anyone take me through the fuel line setup from the gas tank to the Zenith carb on my MF40 with gas Perkins? What I would like to know, specifically, is if there is supposed to be a sediment bowl right out of the gas tank, fuel lift/pump somewhere, and fuel filter screwed into the Zenith 013338 carburetor. My tractor acts like it is starved for fuel, and I have none of the above in the line going from the rusty old tank to the carb. If anyone can lend some advice, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks!

If it's acting like it's starved for fuel, unscrew the entire sediment bowl assmebly from the tank. My MF20 (gas)was starving for fuel and it was trash in the tank clogging the inlet to the sediment bowl assembly. I flushed the tank and then made a sump out of galvanized pipe with an "el" to the sediment bowl assembly. Then I periodically drained the sump to remove any additional trash that accumulated, It was a very simple solution.

Hi, From the gas tank there is a sediment bowl
assy threaded straight into the tank, a line going
down, then an inline gas filter, and a 90 degree
elbow going into the zenith carb-no lift pump on
the gas model. Good luck, Chuck
