My tractor is back from an engine overhaul and it has excellent power, but the multi power lever doesn't engage. It seem like it works a little when the engine is cold and might slip in after a long delay. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Marc, Try the "in field" method of adjustment.
With the dash lever fully up, loosen the clamp
with l bolt that clamps on to the little rod
going down into the housing. Lightly tap or push
with thumb the rod downward as far as it will go
and then retighten the clamp. You may well find
a better working multi-power. Good Luck, Chuck

Trace the linkage down to the point where it disappears into the top of the clutch housing. Look for any bent rods and bending when you operate it. Please come back if it is all moving OK.

The linkage is okay. The rod that goes into the clutch housing moves up and down about 5/8 of an inch.

Hi, I"m afraid that I do not have a solution, but I am having exactly the same problem with a Massey 590. With low revs, when the multi-power is engaged the multi-power oil pressure warning light comes on - might give you a clue? If you do work out the problem I"d be very interested to learn more.
