Gentlemen,

I have a MF 40 Industrial that has weak three point. Using the manuals (purchased at this site) I ran the tests, and the draft control seems to work (however the arms seem to surge up and down as the pump pumps) However, the position control dosn't seem to do anything. I pulled the response control side plate, and can see the draft control move the arm away from its position when it is run from top to bottom. However, the position control seems to move nothing. Also, I can see that oil is escapeing from the rear of the pump regardless of the settings of the arms.

The final condition is that it will lift my son (about 100 lbs) but seems to lower when I get on the arms (250 lbs)

Now the questions,

1. Is the position contol arm linkage broken / disconected. Means that I need to take the lift arm cover off and go into the rear?

2. Does it seem that the pressure relief valve is discharging rather than holding the pump to it's design pressure?

Thank you for your help in advance, I am trying to get this trouble shot while also working 16 hours a day to finish the house my wife and I are building.
