I am brainstorming some ideas to "beef up" my MF 65 rear 3 point lift arm sway bar attachment brakets.

The 65 is high clearance with brakets that bolt to sides of the rear differential casing.

I presume that these left and right side brakets help prevent serious damage to the rear differential casing?

Currently I my ideas are, buy a larger tractor to take the load on the drawbar or secure tougher brakets?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi, If you have the MF brackets and they are
mounted right you will never need anything heavier. The brackets should be "beefy" cast iron
and bolt under the fender bolts on the extension
housings for axle assys. The lower bracket pin
must line up with the lift arm attach. pin that
goes into the diff. hsg. ( for certain) If they
are factory and on the correct side they will.
They take a lot of stress off the 3 pt but also
keep a blade, cutter, cultivator whatever from side
to side movement and save a lot of PTO shaft stress. Do not use for a moldboard plow. Chuck

Thanks, Chuck for the quick information.
Any suggestions on repairing such brakets, or replacing.

Thank you.

Hi,
When you say repair the brackets, have the pin holes in the old ones worn due to the pins being loose? If this is the case there should not be much problem in locating good s/h ones. I don't think the HC brackets are any different but I believe that there are normal duty and heavy duty brackets.
