Massey 50 power multiplier stuck in low

i have a mf 50 diesel. the power multiplier is stuck in low . any ideas on what to do? i have tried adjusting the linkage and no luck. also the rear hydraulics wont lower when the engine is turned off. any help would be appreciated. thanks

HI Joe The Multipower will stay in low if there is no pressure going to the Multipower clutch pack regardless if the valve is in high or low. Low pressure could be cause by a busted hose in the transmission, a bad Multipower pump or clutch pack seals. Clutch pack discs worn out or you probably will find a combination of these things causing your problem The only other thing I can think of would be the linkage has come loose inside the bellhousing The hydraulic pump control valve is rocked by the pump oscillator to prevent the control valve from getting a hydraulic lock. It is not to uncommon to have that happen when you shut off the engine especially if it has a heavy load on the lift
