I need to give the engine on my diesel MF175 a thorough cleaning. What works better a steam cleaner or high pressure washer?

Greese lighting. Used it on race cars and equipment and it melts it right away. Fumes are a little strong for some.

"Super clean" from NAPA auto parts. Purple bottle. This stuff will amaze you. I sprayed it on full strength, waited 10 min. and hosed off the grease with a regular cold water garden hose. Marvellous stuff! I used it to degrease my 135 motor before painting it. No smell, doesn't irritate your hands very good stuff! They say not to put it on aluminum parts, Alternator etc. but if you hose it off quickly, its fine.

Simple green in a yard sprayer. Leave it sit for 10 minutes and hose off.
