I have a project 1155 with hydralic problems and presently rebuilding water pump. I believe I have found hydralic problem and now I am waiting for parts for water pump and I am in action. I don't have a operators manuel yet(on order) but I am curious now, are the remotes and three point operated off of the same valve? If so can this tractor run the 3 point and remotes at the same time?

Sounds like from your description at some point in time the valve that runs the 3 point lift(inside the lift cover)failed. So they did what many have done and plumbed the 3 point lift into a remote valve. The lines to run the 3 point should be plumbed into the lift cover housing.

As far as manuels, I have the shop manuel and the operators manuel is on the way, I'm just not very patient. All stickers on the right side control are gone, I have three pieces of linkage that run from the cluster on the right side of the seat. Is one of these supposed to raise and lower 3 point or is it all dedicated to draft control?

The remote lever is to the right of the seat forward of this built in cluster.

Jeff

Watch ebay and pick up a Massey repair and parts manual for your tractor. Don't waist your money on a IT manual. As far as the hyd. Oil is sent to the main pump up front by a charge pump in the rearend. High pressure is inturn sent back to operate the components. Yes you can operate everything at once (3pt and aux). Now if your 3pt doesn't work a valve in the rearend is sticking this will happen to a tractor that has set for a long time. My 55 never did this while I owned it but it happened several times after selling it to my brother. I don't know where it is but the manuals will show you. You can operate the 3pt off the aux hyd. if you disconnect the input hose and install a hose with a coupling on it to raise and lowere the arms with the aux hyd lever. I did this on my 1080 when it's hyd were acting up and worked good.

That tractor Should have Auxilliary Hyd. pump to make it possible to run 3 pt. independant of aux. hydraulics.

I have the remote but when I look at the remote valve there are hoses going both to the remote receptacles and the three point rams from the same valve.

Mr. Martin does the hydraulic source come from the top cover, as on add on remote units.or does the remote plugs plumb into the trans/diff housing. you may have both, one for power up and down remote and one for bleed down cylinder remote. Good luck Mike

The hydralic hoses go straight from the hand valve next to operators seat. two go to the remotes and two split and go into each of the three point rams.

thanks,
Jeff
