Back again and I'm finally back on the Massey 1100 for the weekend full of tryin all that i've been told over this forum and so for starters my Thumb's over the fuel return port going back into the filter and bumping, bump for air bleeding and he fires up and runs. Since I'm alone and quite surprised that he even started I am scrambling to tighten the lines back together to keep it so and wouldn't you know...death. back to the lift pump to prime and I am pulling air into the glass bowl like an alka seltzer tablet in a can of coke. How could I have so many problems all at once?

Hi,
We had one of those tractors between 1969 and 96 ( Although we never had any fuel problems with it )
It seems all your problems stem from when you changed the filters, I think it must be pulling air in around there somewhere. Sometimes when you are replacing the rubber rings they can get a little twist in them, which can let air in but not fuel out. By the way, did you clean the sediment bowl and the gauze out by the lift pump?
