I have just bought a Ebro Massey Ferguson 157 built under license in Spain with 4 cylinder Perkins engine. Can anybody help with more information on this tractor? Can I get a manual? Is it equivalent to another model built in Uk?

Hi Peter,
From my recollections of looking at EBROs whilst on holiday in Spain I believe that yours will have a 4 cylinder AD4.203 engine with the exhaust on the left hand side(from the seat). If so it is similar to the '203' 165 made in the UK up to about late 1967. You may have the later AD4.212 engine fitted with the exhaust on the right hand side. The '203 was 58 HP and the '212 60HP.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, you're right it does have the 4 cylinder 4.203 engine with left hand low exhaust.
I will be trying the local spanish massey ferguson dealers for a manual and/or parts list, but will also try to locate an english 165 manual.

Hello Peter,
Mallorca, that sounds nice at this time of the year!
I deal with a firm in the UK which supplies most of my non-genuine MF Parts. They are a trade supplier but may well be able to put you in touch with a local dealer who can supply parts;
It is part of the BEPCO Parts Group;

I believe that the 157 and early 165 are very similar as far as the chassis is concerned but I think that there are cosmetic differences.
Regards from a warm and sunny South Wales
David
