gunk coming out of air filter on teo20

I have a teo 20 which was running fine, then a kid pulled off the ht lead I repaired the ht lead after about 3 months, the distributer cap was off for this time, (the tractor was under cover but may have got damp).

Fired it up today and it starts ok and seems to idle ok, as soon as some throttle is applied it pops and it appears that one cylinder is firing back into the air filter, can anyone offer any solution please.

Hi John

It seems that the wires were mixed up on the cap
causing missfire. I wd check if wires are at the right place on the cap. The kid may had changed
plug wires too.
