Roger, I have a wiring diagram that I received when I got Big Dean's cd. I will email it to if you would like, of course Big Dean gets the credit.

Roger:

I do not have a wiring diagram but can tell you how the fuel gauge is wired.

One side of the gauge goes directly to the sending unit. The other side of the gauge goes to the oil pressure switch, and here is the problem.

Most of these switches either do not work or leak and have been long since removed. They are no longer avaible from MF.

The switch is T'd into the oil pressure line about 8" below the oil pressure gauge and provides power to the fuel gauge only when the engine is producing oil pressure to prevent the gauge circuit from running the battery down when the tractor is not running. This is necessary because there is no ignition switch on the 35 diesels.

The other side of the pressure switch goes through a fuse to 12V.

You should be able to make it work if you have the oil pressure switch and it is good. You will need to install a switch to power the gauge from the battery otherwise. A push button switch works well because you cannot forget and leave it turned on.

I repaired a broken terminal on my oil pressure switch and rewired it so that the fuel gauge on my MF 35 Deluxe would work. In the process I learned that the switch is no longer available from MF.

Good luck.
