Any one know anything about these tractors? I am looking at one to buy , its a 1972 diesel. The owner says it has to be pulled to start it, and that it has low power. He bought it new. Thanks, Norman

Hi,
Ouch, not a good sign. Assuming it has a 3 cylinder Perkins diesel, even clapped out engines will generally start on the key. Pulling to start usually gives a faster cranking speed than you can achieve on the battery. Look for a tractor that has done a lot of work and has excessive wear in the fuel injection department and loss of compression for some reason or a mixture of the both.

It's a 135 industrial. If it can be pull started it must have a standard tranny. Good tractor. Probably worth fixing. Others will be able to tell you what might be wrong. Dave
