My Seat Pan is good, missing cushions of course, It seems that the front of the seat pan must be missing some part or parts. The rear of the seat swivels up, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the front that would hold it. The Front of the seat pan is resting directly metal to metal on my hydraulic valve body. The seat is too low and it seems that originally there was a way to raise the seat. If someone could post a description or photo it would be wonderful. Then I can what I'm missing. I just bought this 50 a week ago...

My Tractor has the remmnants of the rubber pad thing. I guess my question is this. If you swivel the rear of the seat up and back it raises the rear of the seat, but without something in the front, you couldn't very well sit on it as it leans sharply to the front. I guess I need to know if they are supposed to be able to be raised up or not ?

I don"t think there is anything wrong with your seat. I always thought the feature you are referring to was intended to aid in comfort for those long days in the "saddle". I always kicked the rear of the seat up and back when I wanted to stand for awhile. That gives the legs a little more room.

Denny-, There should be a rubber block under the front on top of the bracket that the pan rest down on. It is about one and a half inches wide and about three inches long, quarter of an inch thick. Order one at the massey dealer. There is also two quarter inch machine bolts holding it on.
