I am looking for a Hydraulic pump for a MF 25.
The tractor runs great but the pump has gone out and the 3 point will not work. If any one know where I can get a replacement pump or get the old one rebuilt please email

Thanks

Morning: yes i know where there is a re-built pump, it has yet to be installed and tested. My plan is to do so at some point in time, i can do it quicker than planned if you are interested.I am not a dealer, but have bought a replacment pump and this one i had rebuilt and now is a spare,i won't need when the tractor sells
Can you open up an e-mail address so i can contact you, directly.
regards

I am trying to get my old pump rebuilt, but have not found anyone that is interested in repairing it. Do you know about what it cost to rebuld one and how much would you be asking for yours?

Thanks
Matt

cost of a rebuild is not something i can offer as it could be a simple gear trim/bushing replacment[s] case shims, for example the bushings are oiltite material not bronze as it looks.
i don't have my service book here at work, but you could find the clearances and have a hyd shop check where the wear is at.
But good news: on the front area below the high/low shifter is a 1/2 inch plug o-ring base style. remove this and attach a pressure gauge in here, a good pump will be in range of 1900lbs pressure full load, i think the relief valve is about 2100lbs[ might be high about 200lbs ]in my numbers.
Getting a low reading? open up the housing/pump and remove the relief valve and plug it, re-install the housing/pump, and re-check with the pressure gauge. no pressure? pump bad got pressure relief valve bypass? or it might of beem loose in its mounting hole[ seen a loose valve before].
and also has the key sheared on the input shaft of the pump?
maybe you have done this already but hope it helps you make sure the pump is bad.
Also check that the control linkage is not damaged or out of place, also the spool valves will stick in the body over time. the book will show how it operates and what to do for repairs and setup. can take a bit of time? I will wait till you reply before i mention a price:), do you have an e-mail open from this site? and we are talking canadian location/funds.
regards

Ok try those things first and i will send an email later to you direct on the subject, go slow and careful, i also just though of this. When you lift the tranny cover check and make sure the rubber washer seal on top of the suction pipe does not fall down and into the tranny[ doesn't float very well either].
make sure this washer is in good shape so your not sucking air in around the connection. the suction pipe is just under where the hyd control housing bolts onto the tranny top housing. remember it just "sits" there and not around a pipe or stud
good luck.
ps do you have a lifting eye bolted on where the seat is normally secured? that is center of the housing for balance when lifting with a chain hoist.
regards
