Hi folks,
I'm in the process of fitting a rollbar to my FE-35 and have struck a problem. On the Left Hand side axle casting facing forward there are 4 threaded protrusions (presumably for fitting some attachment). The topmost left handed protrusion is right in line where the bolt coming up from the cup underneath wants to go into the bolt hole in the rollbar base. The only option I can see is to grind back the protrusion approx quarter of an inch to allow the bolt to pass. Has anyone else had this problem before and any suggestions?. Thanks as always.
Craig

Hi Craig -

Good move - roll bar!

Perhaps yours is designed different from ours - all ours have an adjustable top bar, which permits moving the side rails out to fit the slots for the fender bolts. Is this an option?

The protrusions are studs to hold a battery carrier that was used to take a second 6V battery. On my 35 despite being rusted beyond recognition on hte outside bit the studs unscrewed quite easily with a mole wrench.
