I have a MF-135 w/Perkins gas motor. I would like to have external hydraulic hookups. What are my options?

Krue Your options for remote hydraulics are 1. A diverter valve that switches between three point or remote hydraulics using the three point pump to operate the remotes. 2. you can install the factory auxiliary hydraulics that has their own pump mount above the three point pump 3. A front mounted pump that is driven by the front crankshaft pulley Email me if you would like further information on any of these.

A lot depends on what you are going to use the tractor for. For operation of rear implements the internal pump is usually adequate. Loader operation generally requires an aux. pump. If you would like to send me your email address i can send you pics of how i did mine..... JJ.

Have any links to online sources for these kits? Thanks for the help.

You have several options. One is to tap the internal hydraulics which gives you a maximum of 4 gpm.

Or you can hang an external pump, reservoir, and valve to have greater flow and more versatility. My MF-236 loader used a leg of the main frame for the reservoir, has its own valves and used a pump on the PTO. I later changed that to a pump running off the front of the engine. The front axle pivot is hollow and in line with the crankshaft. The pulley had a place to bolt a flange, which I made, though the parts may yet exist, and made a shaft to the pump sitting on a shelf under the radiator. I cut the bottom radiator shroud to clear the pump.

With the PTO or front mount pumps you can have greater flow if your application needs it.

my 135 gas had solid pin, when I replaced the pivot bushings the replacement pin was hollow

If you know basic hydraulics, it's a snap. If you DON'T know hydraulics, get a kit from someone like "TISCO". They'll sell you a complete package, pre-made hoses and all, with reasonably clear directions to install. Kit sells for around $450 I believe.

Depends on what you mean by basic hydraulics? I've never fabbed up anything hydraulic but after 8 yrs in the Navy as a Machinist's Mate (think Maintenance Mechanic) I have a decent grasp on the basics.

With that basic understanding, you can follow the directions for proper hook-up of hoses. The kit includes all the "big stuff". (diverter, spool valve, quick-couplers, hoses, MOST fittings, even bolts & spacers to attach valve to fender) As mentioned below, you'll probably end up hunting up a few fittings. The kit is "generic" enough that it doesn't include EVERY fitting for EVERY application. I've installed a couple kits. Had to buy a couple elbows each time.

"reasonably" clear...i guess. i found the directions pretty vague actually. i'm glad i knew what i was doing. but it's "do-able" with the directions that come with the kit. i ended up buying a few extra fittings to set it up like i wanted it.

Yeah, I've seen more detailed directions in a box of Cracker Jacks. Fortunately it isn't that tricky of a hydraulic curcuit. The dealer I buy the kits from always orders me a few odd fittings with every kit. I've installed 2 on tractors for other folks. Both still work, so I must have done something right. Hoses in kit seem to be either too long or too short for some applications also.
