Greetings fellas, (and women I assume) My neighbor asked me to drop you folks a note.He is getting ready to repaint his MF90 diesel and wants to make sure he gets the correct shade of silver. I have been researching some ferguson colors and do not know the difference between Flint Metallic Grey and Silver Mist.
I would appreciate some info regarding colors. Ferguson codes or cross references fine with me.
He did say his was more metallic looking than just silver. Thank you in advance, Mark

My Grandpa and I just got done restoring a Super 90 Diesel, and we used the Metallic Flint Gray, which is how there were painted in the 60's.We got our paint through Napa and it looks terrific. They have a paint code chart for all shorts of different models of tractors and all of the Massey colors are on there as well.We had the same problems figuring out the correct color as well we had gotten the regular massey gray, but as soon as we opened the can we knew it was wrong so we decided to use it as another base coat over the white primer to use the paint up. They only problm we had with metallic paint is when we had'nt painted a gray base over the white primer. It seemed to run alot easier for me. But I don't know what color primer you used.Good Luck!

Flint grey metallic is what's on the engine/tranny/rear end/hitch/front axle/ect. Silver mist is outer rim portion of wheels and grill.

Probably right.... I'm more in to the smaller "100 series" Massey's. They use silver mist on the grill. It's been ages since I was even around a 90.
