Recently purchased tractor has loud squal when turned both directions before reaching steering limit. Reservoir full of correct fluid. Noise happens at all RPM's.

I'm guessing it's a continental gas engine? (starter and dist. is on the left when in the seat; carb, intake, & exhaust on the right)

Ours does it too, I think it's the releif valve or something else. It happens when either the wheels have too much resistance to turn (full bucket of manure and not moving) or the wheels have already turned as far as they go.

If the tractor is moving or doesn't have a loader on it and it still sqeels before hitting the limits, not sure what to tell you but are you sure it's not hitting the limits?
