TE20 - Front weights to counterbalance 3PL forks

HI GUYS,

I am making a normal style forklift mast for 3PL mounting with a fullt external hydraulics running off the PTO.

I want to be able to lift more than the tractor balances at present on the very odd occasion. How is the best way to mount front weights. I could only think of arms tied to the front cross bars (that the king pins mount on) running back to a cross piece that sat under the gearbox. The arms extending forward to about 3 foot in front of the bonnet where the weight would sit. About 300kg I am looking at.

Any ideas / comments appreciated.

Iain:

Front wheel weights are available to mount inside of the front wheels. The sets for 16" rims are not too difficult to find and will add about 100 lbs. per side. Sets for 19" wheels are quite a bit harder to find.
