I am in the process of rebuilding my 65. While I have everything scattered all over my shop, I have misplaced the drain plug for my rear end. Is this something I can order from the dealer or try to match up one from a parts house? Thanks JJ in OK

I'm not familiar with the 65's, but it is a plug on the side similar to the engine drain plug, or is it just a pipe plug? You can get either fomr the dealer, but if it's a pipe plug just go to the hardware store.

Its the same drain plug as used on the engine oil pan and the transmission pan. It has an 1 1/16" bolt size on it. If I can get it from the dealer, I will go ahead and get 3 new coppper gaskets. Thanks

don...you might find out that's a magnetic plug to help gather small bits of loose metal. i'd try and get a replacement if it is.
