I finally have the basketcase 1150 that I bought on E Bay last year running good. Had to replace a coupling on the transmission, find tires, replace multi-power, fix three point hitch, tach cable, seat, paint sheet metal, and a few other things. Still needs cosmetic work and decals, but mechanically everything works as it should. Now if I only had a need for this much power.

Nice looking machine. The 1150 is one of my favorite tractors.

If you work in ground that's the least bit soft you'll likely need duals. We had our 1150 stuck a heck of a lot back when we had single tires on it.

Here's an 1150 I've been around since back when I was about 6 years old riding on the fender.

I actually have no need for the tractor even without the duels. I have 84 acres of woods and 20 acres of pasture for my kids horses. The only time I have needed it was to pull out a stuck dump truck.
I found it on Ebay and had to have it, because as a kid, I grew up in Boston, GA. A Massey Fergusen test facility was there until around 1970. I remember, what had to be an 1150, that was loaned to farmers in the area to put hours on. I am just reliving my childhood.

That is one beautiful looking old Massey you have there, well done!Anyone know roughly what the production numbers were on the 1150's?I never even know they exsisted untill i saw them on here.Back in the day around here,if you had an 1100,people thought that they had the world by the drawbar.phill.
