Yea you can but you have to change the lever on top to a forward, and reverse lever, like mine,
Nothing down lower has to be changed but the lever as it is wont work with the 24 spd changed to 8 spd,

8 spd is ok you have to stop to shift, but on the 24 you just mover the lever up and down or middle,
you have to keep the power down on this tractor when you shift as it will buck a little when it goes in gear,
But it,s kinda neat to drive and all that power is really addictive, and the noise is all you:d want makes you feel like walter mitty land,
it,s kindof a job to put it back to the 24 spd as you have to hook thing,s back up down underneath but on the 8 spd you just slide the lever back & forth for forward, and reverse,

Hey kirk, whats up? congrats on your project!!! We used to have a 2775 with the 24speed tranny but got scared of it so traded it for a john deere 7800 with MFWD front end. If your tractor has a 24 speed tranny and your going to keep it I'd suggest trying to find a 8 speed tranny. The 24 speed tranny was bad news!!! Those 640 perkins V8's just roared!!! and had tons of power!!! There was a company out there somewhere that built a MFWD front axle for the 2000 series tractors....thats what they really needed to utilize all the power from the V8.....otherwise they just spin out.....don't know what your doing with your 2775 but if you need lots of traction I'd try to find one of those too. Good luck MF rules

Hi MF,
Yea it had the 24, but it was changed back,to the 8 spd and you have to stop when you shift, but thats trivial?
I like this thing alot, My g friend say,s it,s nothing compared to my 2670 Case but thats otherwise,
This thing has brakes that throw you out the back window when you back up WOW!
I wanna get it home so I can start to frshen it up, take it easy ok MF,
Kirk,
