Just picked up a 65 nand having trouble getting it started. I can pull start it and it will run fine. After it is warmed up it will start with a few squirts of either. I've disconnected each injector while running and did notice a difference each time so I know the injection system is working. While running oil will squirt out the dipstick hole. Can anyone give me a diagnosis.

Hi Mark

Seems to be tired engine
The fact that oil is squirting out the disptick
hole means that some compression pass trough the rings to the oil pan this loss compression causes
difficult start. Diesel engines need 400 ~ PSI
for normal start. The starter does not turn the
engine fast enough to create required compression level to start. When you pull the tractor the engines turn faster and built up
enough compression to start.

If you want to do one more test remove the engine
oil filler cap and start the engine if my previous statement is correct you will have an
air blowby and worst oil spitting.

Now if this tractor was sit for long time before
you had it rings may be stuck and may be corrected with appropriate products.

If I can make a little opinion...
ether is very harmful for engines I never used it
in my opinion it should be used only in extreme
cases.
