The throttle on my 65 is not staying in the set position. I was looking at a parts manual and it showed some cork friction disks. Is this something I can make my self of try to find at a dealer or antique tractor supply? Thanks

u can find cork and most materials for repairs at ure local auto parts stores, hardware stores or even craft places---try to stay away from dealers unless ure bank account is unlimited----plus its a lot more fun knowing u came up making the part yourself have fun john

I had the same problem a few years ago. I found the problem to be wear between the throttle lever rod and the fitted metal washer. There are formed "ears" on the rod which fit into two notches on the metal washer. I brazed and filed these areas down to get a tight fit. The metal washer is sandwiched between the two cork discs that you refer to.

If you need the cork discs, I would try a Massey dealer first. If they don't have them, I think they would be easy to make if you could find a sheet of cork gasket material.

You can cut them out of cork gasket material. I"m not familiar with the 65, but 100 series have a spyder shaped spring that holds those corks in tension. Legs break off of the spring. If so, replace with new. (All parts available at AGCO/MF dealer)
