I have a mf135 gas model and I was running it the one day and it ran fine, next day went to start it, would not start, pulled plug had fire but didnt seem to be getting fuel, check fuel line, filter, all had gas coming thru, pulled bowl off to check floats, no problem other than I have to find another gasket. Im not sure where to go from here, what is the wire that plugs into underneath side of bowl? The tractor had been running perfect, the temperature have been really cold, but not sure why its not getting fuel. I fully choke it and still no sign of fuel in carb. Any help would be appreciated. Gary

While I had the bowl off the carbuator, I checked the solenoid and it seem so be functioning properly. I made a gasket this evening, so tomorrow I will put everything back together and see what happens. The solenoid may have been stuck due to ice, atleast thats what I am hopeing for. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks to all advice. Gary

I have a 135 Perkins gas. The carb has s little solonoid sticking out of the bowl. If it doesn't get power when you fire up, it will act just like you describe. Mine had the wire broken off flush, so I soldered on a new one, hooked it up, and all is well.

my 135 doesn't have that solenoid but I've read here that they were added to stop "run on"

voltage from key switch pulls plunger and lets fuel into the engine, if its conked out you can cut the tip off as emergency fix but then have to deal with the run on problem

pull air filter out and spray bit of ether in the air cleaner, if she fires and runs a bit then you are on the right track with fuel problem
