Hi, my mf65 was overheating and loosing antifreeze. I had the radiator cleaned out professionally, replaced the water pump, thermostat, and upper and lower radiator hose. Good news is that it no longer over heats... bad news is it still sprays water when working hard. I noticed there is a 10 psi radiator cap but I think it should be a 7 psi. Would this cause the problem? What else should I check? I do not see bubbles when running. Any input is appreciated.

Are you trying to keep the coolant level too high? It really only needs to be about a half inch above the tubes in the radiator. Might be worth a try.

twigs: I had a similar problem with my cooling system. It would blow water out of the overflow tube when I worked my 65. I had a smoking problem that I figured out was the head gasket. I had comminucation between # 2 & 3 cylinders and the waterport that is between them. Coolant was leaking into the cylinders and pressuring up the radiator! JJ
