I need the top butterfly and shaft for the Zenith carb for my 44-6, or a good reasonable priced complete carb. The numbers on the carb are 116224. I would guese it"s the orginal carb because it was my grandpa"s tractor and wasn"t very old when he bought it. The tractor has the orginal flathead 6. Thanks

BE CAREFULL,If it is like the carbs on our 44-6s you can't buy parts for them. The 4 cyl.ones are too thick,(hit the steering shaft),Talk to some good rebuilders and they might be able to help you(Not Dennys, because he will want to sell you a new Generic which will work but has to be MODIFIED to fit and work). The Parts Place in Ia. shows a rebuilt one.

The Massey dealership I used to work at sold carb rebuild kits that came with a new shaft. As for the butterfly, maybe they can get that too? I never tried. If you're not too worried about keeping the "original" look, consider using a Marvel Schebler off of a 65 gas. I put one on my 44 standard with the 4 cylinder. I got 6 more horsepower, and it ran much better. I have the original Zenith off of it if you're interested. I think it was the same on both engines. E-mail me if you want it. We can work something out.
