My 240S Manual shows how to control a single acting hydraulic connection with the draft control lever when the position lever is in constant pumping. It does not show where to connect a hydraulic line to the pump housing. I saw a MF 135 with one hydraulic line connected to a port on the left side under the seat at my dealer. No one knew why it was there. Please share any info. you may have. Will it work and where to connect the hydraulic line? Thanks for your help. I only wish to operate a small disk.

I think what you saw on the 135 were the fittings for a tractor with the optional auxilary pump. My 245 has the fittings on the left side of the housing.

If I understand your post you are wanting a single line to raise and lower a remote cylinder for a drag type disk. There are ports on each side of the liftcover flange where you can tap into the lift system pressure to operate a remote cylinder that way If I can be if further help email me

i recently added remote hydr's to my TO-35. i purchased my isolator valve and control valve and the hoses thru my MF dealer, who ordered them from TISCO. it came with almost everything you need to set up a remote hydr. line, either single or double action. you might be able to find TISCO on line and order directly, i don't know. the isolator valve was fitted for and bolts right on where that 2 bolt plate is under the right hand corner of your seat (assuming that your 240S has the same plate) i installed a separate control valve as well.

Hello,
I assume that you are referring to the tapping in the left side of the lift cover under the seat.
Yes, no problem in using this tapping as a return but it is necessary for all of the return line to be of bigger bore than the supply. Depending on what you wish to operate it is possible that you might have the oil from the pump returning down the line as well as oil from a single acting ram perhaps. In effect you are trying to send two lots of oil down one line at the same time. Using the oil filler plug next to the gearlevers is far more suitable. Adaptors should be readily available. You can have a 3/8" supply and a 1/2" return. It would be beneficial to fit an isolating valve on the right under the front of the seat so that you can close off the linkage and supply an external ram or vice versa.
