I have been looking to trade up my 8N for something w/a loader, live power,ps,and more hp's for hog'in. the Ford is my 1st tractor so I'm real new to this. The 165 is gas, has a loader,PS,is a solid tractor but needs rear tires. The 606 is diesel, has a IH loader , newer rear tires-is a sound runner, but looks "rough" and is need of some paint. The seller would take my 8N in trade with $2300 for the 165, and $3,300 for the 606. Do these prices seem reasonable? Any honest input would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

For me i would go for the 165 gas. A lot easier to start in colder weather than 606 diesel. The 172 cont. engine is a good stong one. Just my opinion. Lester

They seem alright. Around here, a 165 would bring around $4500 w/out a loader. Add one, and it'll go for $6-7,000 at some auctions. Tires aren't a very big deal.

Unless they're peeling off the carcass and don't have much tread, run 'em for a while. We ran tires on our 165 that had a big gash in the side, but not all the way to the tube. They lasted almost 10 years like that before one finally split open in the sun, then we had them replaced.

Where about in WI are you? I'm located in Kaukauna, between Appleton and Green Bay.

I'd not trade that cheap if I had a 165 gas. I've had an 8N and I now have a MF 135.
