Will the stock pump on a pony run a small loader. If not will the pump on a pacer run a loader, and how hard would it be to swap the pumps if at all possible.

you cannot run a loader on the stock hydraulic system. there is not enough capacity in the pump or reservoir. i have a 1949 pony with a MF No.32 loader. there is a hydraulic pump mounted in place of the starting jaw. there is a hole in the grill for the pump to stick out. there is a reservoir and complete hydraulic system separate from the factory system.

I have a copy of a Pony sales brochure that shows a Pony with a Pony Loader. Specially designed for small jobs. Strong welded frame, hydraulically operated. The sales brochure doesn't say any thing about a different hydraulic system.

I don't think they can be swaped. If I rember the Pacers pump is on the side of the engine. The Pony has its mounted under the hood on the front of the engine. I've seen only two loaders on a Pacer(kind of rare)and I don't recall anything that looked changed. Wish I could be more help, but I'll tell you what I know.
