I plan to switch a remote hydraulic thing off of one 135 and put it on the other. It is the kind with a single hose- the control with the little 3 position lever that is under the seat.

What do I need to watch for putting the remote on the new tractor?

What do I need to watch for putting the original cap back on the old tractor?

Am I gonna get in a mess? I am not real mechanical.

Thanks, Greg

PS...greg, i'm not sure if you know this or not. my wet lines are on a ferguson-35, but should be the same as your 135. to operate your hydraulics you have to put your draft control all the way up so you have "constant pumping". but when you are changing the isolator valve from one position to the other, you should put your draft control about half way down. this will keep it from blowing out your o-rings. good luck- mike

greg, when removing the isolator valve, or the cover plate off your tractors, twist them back and forth as you lift them. this will help lift the valve or cover plate off without pulling the stand pipe out of the hydr. pump. to check if the stand pipe is still in the pump, pull your coil wire off, put your 3 point hitch lever in the "up" position, and turn your engine over. if hydraulic fluid pumps up thru your stand pipe, it is still seated correctly in your pump. there will be three small o-rings in both the isolator valve and the cover plate. make sure these o-rings are there and in good condition. there is another o-ring on your standpipes...check this as well and replace if needed. make sure the o-rings stay in place in the valve and the cover plate by "sticking" them in there with a little vasoline, and then carefully work them back on the standpipe til they seat all the way down. put the bolts back in and tighten them down alternately until they're tight to avoid cracking them. it's a pretty easy job...just be careful to get all the o-rings in there.

Maybe this will help some. When you remove the diverter valve or the transfer cap the standpipe may or may not come with it. If the standpipe stays with the valve or transfer cap. It will have to be installed back in the pump if you do not get the standpipe back in the hole in the pump the hydraulics will not work. I have some pictures showing this I can email you if you will send me an email address to send them to.

I live just out side of Hustonville-12 miles south of Danville -about 45 miles south of Lexington.

You try yours first then let me know what to watch for--Just joking.

I thought surely someone on here would know. I don't believe it is a big deal-????
