What are some recomendations for removing paint from the engine block in my MH Pony? It has the hydraulic pump/fan unit on it too. Can I sandblast it or should I use something else. The engine has never been touched, except for regular maintenance.

The lower outlet on the radiator also leaks where it is attached to the core. Can I solder this or should i let a pro do it? The radiator never leaked until my father and I rebuilt the steering linkage and installed new hoses.

The transmission and hydraulic lift cylinder are also leakier than a sieve.

Any help is very much apreciated.
Sam

If you have access to or knows someone who has a dry ice blaster these work great. Does as good of job using dry ice pellets as using sand and you don't have sand to deal with or clean up

I have this thing about sandblasting engines and other spots where there's bearings unless you can account for every spec of sand. I degrease and hit it with an angle grinder with twisted brush then wash it down good. But that's just me. On the other hand, if you stripped it down to the bare block and presure washed it afterwards, making sure all the sand got out of all the passages.
