we are setting up a 44 for pulling and was told a 101jr front end was lighter and shorter. We measured one and it was the same as the 44. so the question i have is will a 33 front work for me, lighter and mainly shorter. trying to drop the front end down. And also the exhaust manifold is cracked did massey ever have a better flowing two piece manifold. Thanx

I just put a 44 standard wide front under mine. Dropped front end about 4 inches. It does weigh about 30 lbs more. It will all bolt on, just had to cut 1 inch off the steering shaft.

I think you will find that the 33 front end is the same as the 44 as well. For as simple as that set-up is, you may be able to fabricate a new pedastal.

For manifolds, run a diesel/propane manifold if you can find one. They are the ones without the 'heater' between the exhaust and the intake. I hope you have better luck finding one than I did.
