I need another loader tractor, got lots of tractors. What loader fits a 1085, or are they too big and clumsy?, got a 274 / loader unit now. Also got 35, no ps, how heavy are they to steer with a loader? Just asking b4 looking.

I have a MF 1085 with a Woods 1020 loader. It was costly to have it mounted but works good. I move round bales for the most part with it, but have used it to move rock and dirt. The only problem I have is the tractor is a little big to haul manure in the cattle barn. I have noticed that my neighbor has the same loader on a JX75 Case and his loader will react much quicker. Hope this helps.

Hi, MF35s are too small for modern bales and 600 kg bags that are in use now,but ok for very light work. There are a lot of MF 165,175,185,265,290 tractors working around here as loader tractors, mainly with power steering.Later 4 wheel drive tractors eg. MF 390 would be better for lots of heavy work.

We have a 50 with a loader and no power steering. It will work you to death and takes a acre to turn. A 50 and 35 are very close to the same. The 50 runs off a aux pump on the front of the pulley. Rethink anything without power steering unless you want to build up those arms...
