I have had good luck with regular Iodine. Just pour in cylinders and walk away. Paitence is the best.

The Preacher has the Word: don't jack on Con rods, but since you already have, don't put it back in without at least matching it to another to see if you've bent it (better: have a machine shop check the one you jacked on against another). Good luck.

If you can get the liner out with the piston still in it, then use a press to press it out from the top. Try not to jack on the connecting rod. You can accidentally bend it. As for removing it while still in the block, try searching it on this site. There are about a million different ideas. Try putting the head back on with the old gasket. Don't install the rocker shaft or pushrods. Fill all 4 cylinders with ATF or Marvel Mystery oil, and thread compression gauge adapters into all spark plug holes. Hook them all up to air pressure, maybe 60 psi, and let it sit overnight. Just keep doing this over and over until maybe if you're lucky, it'll loosen up a bit. The air will help the oil get down into the cylinder. All in all, good luck!!
