I was wondering what you do to make a massey V8 get better milege?
ie.2745?
Do i keep the rev,s up, and keep her in a decent gear?
Or, just keep an eye on the injection pump to see if it,s getting worn? or do I just try it in a higher gear in the field with a not so big impement, or plow?

Keep the RPM above 1500 and select a gear to match your equipment. I went from about 6 to 7 gallons an hour at 2000 RPM to 5 gph just by using a higher gear with less RPM. Ground speed is about the same, I'm not lugging the engine with the equipment I have on the back. Just remember to keep the V-8 RPM at least 1500 to prevent engine problems.
