CONTINUED FROM PAGE 5 POSTHey guys, Just heard from Big Dean on my problem (attached) he has been under the weather and not able to get out of bed much. Just thought you may want to know. Anyway here is what he had to say.... Hi Mike, I am almost sure your clutch is slipping is what caused your problem it may have got oil soaked, or have no pedal free travel or the disc is wore out. A lot of people think the Multipower can cause that but it cannot it can only go into low range if the clutch pack for it start to slip then stay there but not stop the tractor from pulling in low range. Big Dean Hi Mike Pedal free travel is the easy distance the pedal moves before you feel the release bearing touch the release fingers on the pressure plate. As the clutch disc wears the distant get less till it reaches the point it has no easy place left. That will start to release the clutch causing it to start slipping if not adjusted before it get that far. I really think this may be your problem. you can feel that by pushing the pedal if it does not have any free travel then it needs to be adjusted. Oil can build up in the clutch area if the weep hole gets stopped up and you have oil leaking in that area and soak the clutch disc causing it to slip. You can remove the inspection plate on the bottom of the clutch housing to see if it has oil in it. If the clutch disc is worn out then the you may can see pieces of the disc linings through the hole. either if the last two things the tractor will have to be split to make repairs. Hop this helps. Big Dean Thanks to everyone for the help, I am going to try and figure out how to check on some of these ideas. Mike
