I've got a MF-35 (early 60's model) that charges the battery intermittently. ..Would like to replace the generator and volt. reg. with an alternator w/ built-in volt. reg. Does anyone know the type alternator to get and what bracket adjustment will be needed to make this change?

Go into the Article Archives on the left side of the YT home page. Then search for the article "Step by Step 12-Volt Conversion" by Bob Melville. Good explanations and diagrams.

I'm doing the same thing. A fellow on this site wrote a nice article about doing this, but the article doesn't specify a particular model.

Look back through the posts and you'll probably see the post and article there.

There's an 'old timer' mobile electric shop where I usually take my stuff. The gent there might be able to tell me right off. If I get to it in a timely manner I'll post the model here.
