I had a 1150 that I pulled back in the 80's.The weak point was the multipower.Once I learned when to shift it and when not to I didn't have many problems. As for power I could run in high 3rd,high multi power at 9000 lbs&high 2nd high MP at 12000lbs.This tractor was also used in the field doing heavy tillage with no problem.

One can make anything out of anything, however you have to remember the 510 ci. engine is rare and a 540 ci.(1155, 760,860 combine)engine is more common. Second; the rearend and tranny is shared with an 1100 and 1130, good combo but you will need a lot of spare parts. The 1150 wasn't one of Massey's better ideas.

Good luck
Merle

Willy

Trans will like to get stuck in park and we had problems in our 1130 with the ring gear spinning in the final drives. Our 1155 never has had this problem and our neighbors 1150 had this problem when he traded it many moons ago. Another friend had one of the first 1150's and it was in the shop more than in the field. If I was going to build a puller a 2805 would be on my list, you can't stop them.

Take a look at this site.
www.bootheelpullers.org
There are several Masseys pictured...including a 1150.
