Neighbor had 1080, 1100, and 1130. The 1080 was a long ways of being anything close to the other two in tractive effort alone. I would pass.

Ernie is correct in that the 1080 does have it's limitations. However it does have it's place in some operations and maybe yours. We have a 1080 and 1130 with loaders on them and a 1155 plus a few more. You use the right tractor for the task and maybe the 1080 will fit your task/operation.
If you can pick it up for a $1000 or less it's a great deal, $1500 or less good deal, $2000 or less soso of a deal.

Take Care
Merle

I have to agree with Unclemerle... $2500 to $3000 max is all a tractor like you described is worth in KY. It will cost you several thousand dollars to fix that one up...

In SWMN $2500 max. Tires alone will cost you $1000 if you put on new.

Good luck
Merle
